THE LAST TENANT is now an Award-Winning film!!! We just got notice today from the Las Vegas International Film Festival that THE LAST TENANT will be honored with the Silver-Ace Award! Over 2000 films were entered into the festival, so this is truly an honor. The judges felt that our film "demonstrated superior and standout filmmaking". The festival takes place in Las Vegas April 9-12, and the award ceremony is April 12. There's a very good chance that we'll be there to accept our award, in case any of you want to plan a trip to Vegas. I'll keep you posted.

February 6, 2009

Well, it looks like my New Years resolution to blog more often is already in a failed state. What can I say? The good news is I've been busy. My last blog was written prior to the screening of THE LAST TENANT at the Beverly Hills Hi-Def Film Festival. Overall, that was a large success! During the Q&A session, we got a lot of really great questions, and it occurred to us that people were really interested in not only the film, but also our skills as filmmakers. That was a good feeling, no doubt. Even after the Q&A, people were reaching out and congratulating us on the film, and it has opened up a variety of doors that I'm sure I will be able to discuss soon!

After the festival, I took some time to evaluate my goals for '09. What I came up with was unexpected, but it has led me to my current project, once again teaming up with Michael Halper. We are in development of a feature film, and we have already come up with the concept, written the draft/treatment, and completed the script. I told you I was busy! We are currently making modifications to the script, and hope to be in Pre-Production soon.

Another tidbit of good news- later this month I will be attending the Academy Awards! Unfortunately, I will not be there as a nominee for Best Actor (Ha!), but I am contemplating running up on stage when they announce the winner of that category anyways, just to see what happens. (Hopefully they'll let me blog about it from jail!) Truthfully, I was given this opportunity through my involvement as Producer on BRIDGETTA: SASSY AND UNCENSORED, the reality show featuring Bridgetta Tomarchio, so I am very grateful to her.

I guess that's all for now. February should be an exciting month! I will (try to) keep you posted!
