Well, it looks like my New Years resolution to blog more often is already in a failed state. What can I say? The good news is I've been busy. My last blog was written prior to the screening of THE LAST TENANT at the Beverly Hills Hi-Def Film Festival. Overall, that was a large success! During the Q&A session, we got a lot of really great questions, and it occurred to us that people were really interested in not only the film, but also our skills as filmmakers. That was a good feeling, no doubt. Even after the Q&A, people were reaching out and congratulating us on the film, and it has opened up a variety of doors that I'm sure I will be able to discuss soon!
After the festival, I took some time to evaluate my goals for '09. What I came up with was unexpected, but it has led me to my current project, once again teaming up with Michael Halper. We are in development of a feature film, and we have already come up with the concept, written the draft/treatment, and completed the script. I told you I was busy! We are currently making modifications to the script, and hope to be in Pre-Production soon.
Another tidbit of good news- later this month I will be attending the Academy Awards! Unfortunately, I will not be there as a nominee for Best Actor (Ha!), but I am contemplating running up on stage when they announce the winner of that category anyways, just to see what happens. (Hopefully they'll let me blog about it from jail!) Truthfully, I was given this opportunity through my involvement as Producer on BRIDGETTA: SASSY AND UNCENSORED, the reality show featuring Bridgetta Tomarchio, so I am very grateful to her.
I guess that's all for now. February should be an exciting month! I will (try to) keep you posted!
