I have been hired has a Grip/Best Boy Electric on a feature film titled PARKSIDE.  Filming begins in the beginning of June, and I am excited to be involved in another feature.  Luis Guzman is attached as an actor, and the film will be directed by Israel Juarbe.  SeventhArt Entertainment is producing the film that will be completed by late June.

THE LAST TENANT has wrapped principal photography!! Everything went off with only minor hitches, which is better than can be expected on any film, much less a low-budget indie!! The actors were all awesome, and everybody nailed what they needed to do. Our crew was incredible as well, and all the hard-work and months of preparation definitely paid off. We only have one scene to shoot (will be done 2nd unit), and that should happen next week some time. The film now goes into the very capable hands of Michael Halper for editing, while I try and get my apartment back to livable conditions!

The wrap party is already set for May 31, and with the amazing cast and crew that we had, it's definitely gonna be a rockin' party!

Shooting for THE LAST TENANT begins tomorrow. Everything is in place, and the equipment has all been delivered to my apartment, as this will be the principal location for the shoot. What makes it interesting is that the film involves two girls moving into an empty apartment, so the process of packing away all my belongings as though I'm actually moving has been interesting, to say the least. Nonetheless, the apartment appears vacant, and the lights are up. Actors arrive tomorrow morning at 9am.

Casting for THE LAST TENANT is finished! I am extremely excited to see this film shot, as it's the first screenplay I've written! The other writer (Michael Halper) and I will also be co-producing, so the next week is going to be extremely hectic trying to get everything set up and ready for our May 15 start date.

Tonight we held auditions for actresses to be in THE LAST TENANT. We once again had an amazing turnout, and are now left with the difficult decision of who to cast! We're trying to take a look at everybody's conflicts, and determine a shooting schedule, as the shoot dates of May 15-19 are now locked down.

Casting began tonight for THE LAST TENANT. Tonight we focused on our lead villain, and we had a number of really great actors come in and meet with Michael and me. Overall, the responses we got from our ads was incredible, and there are a lot of really great choices for this role. Tomorrow we will meet with actresses, and we hope to have our final decisions by Wednesday night. That only gives us a week to prep our cast, but everybody we've met with is excited about the agressive schedule!

The script for, THE LAST TENANT, the latest short film I co-wrote (along with Michael Halper) has been finalized. We sent the draft out to a number of industry experts, and have gotten very useful feedback. Overall, however, the script has received very good reviews, and I feel confident that it will make a great short film. The current version of THE LAST TENANT looks like it will fall between 15 and 20 minutes. We have posted the breakdown on LA Casting, ActorsAccess and Craigslist, and expect to begin casting next week.

I am co-producing the film as well, and production is currently scheduled for May 15-19.
